    Apparently one for each participating head of state/government. Here is Obama's piece:

    Oh well. Did not know Medvedev would make so much PR for Sandro Sassoli's idea. :D And the design, ugh. Also, the motto used on this piece, "Unity in Diversity", is pretty close to that of the European Union, "United in Diversity". At least the EU is not as monolingual as this piece ...

    They did actually, the word "coin" in the article is a link to the image of the coin. It may not have been updated when you first read the article, they often revise articles on Bloomberg after publishing stories (I dislike when they do that.):

    It might work if the world's economy were on par in every country. It works with the Euro because there are no third world countries within the EU. How would such a currency work in trade with say the US and Algeria. Most people there don't earn in a year's time what most of us earn in a day. Seems like yet another pipe dream by someone who doesn't live in the real world.
