<p>
As everyone knows, Jamie Franki's design was chosen to be the new obverse for the Jefferson Nickel. I had the pleasure of viewing his original drawing when it was on display at a coin design exhibit that Jamie did in Salisbury, NC. Here is a picture of the drawing:</p><p><br /></p><p><img src="http://nexus.mythicdesigns.net/spudcoins/NewJeff.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p><br /></p><p>Also on display were some other designs that Jamie did for the new nickel that weren't chosen. Here are three of them, two reverses and one obverse:</p><p><br /></p><p><img src="http://nexus.mythicdesigns.net/spudcoins/9.10JFMonticello.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p><img src="http://nexus.mythicdesigns.net/spudcoins/9.10JFMonticello2.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p><img src="http://nexus.mythicdesigns.net/spudcoins/9.10JFJeffersonPortrait.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>And here is one more, actually my personal favorite, that I don't think that the good people of Virginia would approve of <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie2" alt=";)" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" /> . The obverse is of another person named Jefferson who lived on the grounds of Monticello, and the reverse is of another building on the Monticello grounds:</p><p><br /></p><p><img src="http://nexus.mythicdesigns.net/spudcoins/9.10JFOtherJefferson.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" />
</p><p><br /></p>
