Henry Ford (carmaker) should probably be for Michigan.
    Wright Brothers - Ohio.
@V. Kurt Bellman for Pennsylvania :) lol

The only possible reason people could ever need dollar coins.

    The Parking Meter
    [IMG]

Carl C. Magee invented the "coin controlled parking meter" in 1935. The first meter was installed in Oklahoma City and it charged 5 cents per hour. In the U.S. today, parking meters generate over 1.25 million dollars per day.

Us Minnesotans will probably expect a coin with a LOON (i.e. State Bird) on the Reverse: http://1037theloon.com/10-facts-about-the-minnesota-state-bird-the-loon/
and an image of BOB DYLAN on the Obverse: https://www.rollingstone.com/music/...xtensive-first-rolling-stone-interview-90618/

There are considerable numbers of us Loony residents here that can hardly be understood, who may appreciate the coins relativity:

    YA! YOU BETCHA!

Henry Ford was a huge anti Semite and should not be immortalized on a coin
that no one will ever use.

I would have Prince or Charles Schulz before Bob Dylan.

I'd have to go with the squirting oil rig for Texas.

South Carolina would probably have to be the Submarine (the sinking boats type, not the sandwich).

Innovator with the oil rig theme would be Red Adair.

    Red Adair
Paul Neal "Red" Adair was an American oil well firefighter. He became notable as an innovator in the highly specialized and hazardous profession of extinguishing and capping oil well blowouts, both land-based and offshore.

I copy and pasted that from Wikipedia.
