I posted this in the new acquisitions thread. Those were the seller pics. Someone posted the toning is AT. Now that I got the coin in hand, I took my own.

Hard to tell what caused the varying colors - I've never seen anything like it.
My gut reaction is AT - what can I say ?

The REV looks good though. I would say the coin will grade AU 55 "if" it grades.

I'll post some new images later.

For those who enjoy higher end Halves - my friend, Peter Shireman
is selling his Half Dollar collection at Tampa FUN - thru Heritage.

Peter has been my mentor for years and we have sold each other coins
for well over a dozen years. I have bought two of his 92-O Micro O's -
one in 55 and the other in 63 when he upgraded with a 65. He has my
old 11-S/s in PCGS 66 - POP TOP - ex: Friend collection.

One of my favorite coins in his collection - not the most expensive,
just {IMHO} one of the prettiest:

Not as pretty as some, but believe it or not this was a circulation find from earlier this year

Finding an 09-O in the Boston area, Mike, is unbelievable !! Congratulations.

I found one for my set as well, but will hold off posting it.

Actually, I was on vacation in Houston when I found it. A little closer to its origin assuming it stayed local for 100+ years.
