    Dockwalliper,

We were on the same page and now we aren't. ;)

I think I explained it actually. Many of us "currency geeks" search straps of $1 notes. What is not worth keeping we spend.

Believe me it's much easier to carry around 50 singles than it is to carry around 50 Lincolns, 50 Jeffersons, 50 Roosevelts etc.

We don't have to take them back to the bank as many roll searchers do (and I've searched rolls by the way).

We (currency collectors) just put them back into circulation out of our wallets. Really not a difficult concept and not as bulky as many say.

My problem is with "Most people would carry 15 or 20 dollar bills folded in their front pocket."

Most people are not currency collectors and carry their cash in their wallets. As for carrying 50 dollar $1 coins that would be idiotic. When I carry $50 its two $20's a $5 and five bucks in change. I buy a roll of dollar coins each week and make sure I have 4-5 in my pocket each day. They last me the whole week.

Why would you carry more than 4 single dollar bills in your pocket? If you need to pay for something that costs more than that you'd use a higher denomination bill.

If I tried to put 50 notes in my Billfold it would not fold.
