Could it be one of those 1964 Peace Dollars escaped the smelter for the US Mint. Sure, it's very possible that none were kept from the smelter and it's also possible that the Mint director or their crinies grabbed a few and hid them in a safe place. Since they are illegal to own, I'm sure if somebody has one they're too afraid to admit it. My guess would be, nobody will ever know. Maybe PCGS should offer 10 million, maybe that will bring one out. wof.gif Who knows.

I have never seen an authentic 64-D Peace dollar, but if I had I would keep my trap shut about it.

This is what i read a bout the Farouk coin and 1 did sale i provided an author wheather its hogwash is up to you.It also claimed a Mint worker George McCann is believed to have switched the coins doomed to be melted and replaced them with earlier coins before they were noticed there was no mention of L.B Johnson receiving coins when i said the (Switt heirs) lost the coins i said the were trying to get them back from the Mint, Government which i think will never happen as Scottishmoney pointed out i agree with along with his comment if you dont vote you have no cause to gripe about sorry state of politics.

I think the title of this thread should be changed to read:
