This topic is intended to help me and anyone else identify two questions. 1. Who minted these medals? 2. Who or what are the initials BT for? First is a recent purchase which I am extremely happy to have stumbled across. 2008 THEODORE ROOSEVELT 150th ANNIVERSARY 3 MEDAL SET Set No 13 of 100 minted There is the added BT initials on the ribbon of the olive branch which does not appear on Morgans reverse of the original inaugural medal. These very much resemble the 1905 Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Medal ( Charles Barber obverse and George Morgan reverse ) except that the text “Inaugurated President of the United States March 4, 1905” is replaced with "26th President of The United States 150th Anniversary of His Birth 1858-2008" OK, I believe I have some very scarce or perhaps somewhat rare well made 27-28 mm medals. I do have FIVE of these 2000 Paul Revere Old North Church .999 Silver Medal The same font and BT initials appears on my 5 Paul Revere - Old North Church same size .999 silver medals. I don't know anything more except there are only 100 sets stated. The BT initials are on the reverse at the bottom in the field. I bought all 5 of these in three purchases from the same seller. Possibly the seller chose to keep the gold versions, discard the wood boxes and sell these off. There were no more single silver versions before or afterwards to be found by me anywhere. I don't have a Revere set. There were Revere sets that were made but they had only two medals. A Gold and Silver and came in a wooden display box in a cardboard box like the Roosevelt does. I know now is there were 100 numbered sets with a 22kt Gold medal and a .999 1/4 troy oz medal like mine in a wooden box. That set looks like this.
