Ibid! The reverse is a solid 5 but nothing on the obverse. One really can't "net" toners so I'd give it a 4.
If you were to compare this coin only to Franklins, I think it would be a high 5. If you were to compare it only to 60's era Franklins, it might even be a 6. But, I have to agree with you all - on an absolute scale, this is a high 4. Who's next?

With a lot of O-mint Morgan toners, I've noticed that the luster tends to be subpar. The picture doesn't help us determine anything about the luster but the color is very nice. I'm in between a high 4 and a low 5. I'll go with the low 5.
@brg5658 has the next post after we are done with the Morgan. Then I have one. (Please let me know if anyone else wants in afterwards).
Do you have another set of shots on that one? I'm torn between 4 and 5 - 4 if the luster is how it appears in these shots, 5 if the luster is popping. Unfortunately, usually, a 63 doesn't have the luster for much higher than a 4.
If those pics are accurate then I’d say 5. But I am not a fan of PCGS TrueView images because the saturation is almost always off and the red-shift is usually awful. I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt here. Beautiful full gamut of colors on that one!
I would agree on a 5. Once again, this is a coin I owned, and sold last year. It was an NGC MS 63*, and got crossed by the new owner as a PCGS 63+. I don’t know that it was a huge advantage, as the money is in the toning. In hand, this coin has “Battle Creek” level toning that is on the level of some of Skyman’s really nice ones. I sold it for moon money.
Some people will only buy PCGS toners, so that is part of the reason these get crossed. Also, the person probably thought it had a good chance of upgrading (and it did by a half point to 63+). I saw that it sold for a best offer of $900 (based on a $1,250 asking price) recently on eBay.

He lost money. I sold it for $925, two years ago. Is a 63+ worth more than a 63*? Hard to quantify, in the toner world.
Someone lost money but my guess would be it was somewhere earlier in the chain of sales. I saw him post it as a new acquisition a few months ago on Instagram. The seller is a dealer who sets up at many of the big shows and is the person who created the sight white sticker for untoned coins (and he doesn't strike me as the type who would lose money on such a coin).
