I just found this thread. I think I really like it. I have a few I could contribute in the future.

That Oregon is mind blowing!!! That sunset reverse is just.... I'd go 6.4 easy!

4.0 on the reichsmark

Coins have two sides...when the floor is open for you to post a coin, the general practice is to post pictures of both sides of the coin.

@ddddd i think it’s time to repost the rules for everyone. Also was there ever a determination made on expanding the scales for different denominations? I know it was said that basing other denominations off of the Morgan scale was not beneficial. Thanks. Oh and happy gobble day everyone.

We did change the rules somewhat to allow more personal scoring as opposed to sticking to the Morgan scale.

Here are the updated rules:

1. A coin will be posted and everyone can provide an opinion of what level the toning merits.
The levels are:
Low-End..1
Low-Mid ..2
Mid..........3
Mid-High...4
High.........5
Monster.....6-7

*Decimal (to one decimal) scores are allowed

2. Everyone will have around 24 hours to give an opinion (can be extended if there is low participation).
3. After the coin is called, we will average the responses and provide a CoinTalk score.
4. Along with calling the coin, the original poster has to provide their score (the idea is that we can compare our own score vs the group).
5. Please comment if you want to post next.

We updated it starting with round 70. One can still stick to 6.0 or go as high as 6.9.

 

Okay then, another Morgan. This one is PL, and has a amazing reverse, with rim toning on the obverse.

 

I tried to come up with a reason why this isn't a monster and I couldn't.

Personally I will go 5.9, I tend to reserve my monster status for the obverse. But it is amazing!!

 

It's a monster reverse and to me still means a monster overall score of 6.0
