Yep that's the order... and @kSigSteve you are on the list @brg5658 go ahead and post your example and @Mainebill please let us know your score for the Quarter
Light to moderate toning on the obverse, and light toning on the reverse. The toning is desirable, and attractive. Coverage is limited, but the coin is really beautiful. I am being subjectively high here, as I love the coin. 3.9, knocking on the door of 4.
I am at a 5 on the Morgan. I think it being a 64 to me limits it from being a 6 due to the luster and how the colors prolly show in hand. I have no problem with it being a 6 because I think it’s technically still a monster and those greens always bring strong money. I just wonder how it looks in hand. It didn’t get the color bump or market grade that these often get so I think the luster is likely subdued and these photos are just really capturing it in the very best light.
I agree, good assessment. I think it's a monster. I don't care if there are marks as long as there is full luster and good color. 5.7
That’s an interesting assessment. To my taste, I think the Moose is definitely a head above this one - if for no other reason than the toning on the Moose is so much more evenly spread. Don’t get me wrong, this 1887 is beautiful, but it still has a bit of an “end roll” toner look in how there are some abrupt transition color areas. The Moose is in a class of its own.
