OK, we are now in the period 600CE - 700CE and any that straddle either side. Have fun for 3 days exciting us with your examples.
The first period was great, many coins I had not seen before.

I will start ball rolling with this (this maybe first depiction of Christ on coinage)

I bought this one because of the unusual, near-pentagonal shape.
Information on the dealer's flip is all I know about it:
"Byzantine Constans II 642-643 AD"

He was known as Constans II/ ERIC-II/ Rasiels book revised this to III since there was a II before who was an Augustus.
Hillbilly Constans III was murdered in his bath by his chamberlain

I have tons of coinage from every century so I will keep adding. The good thing about having a "Heinz 57" collection/ I have stuff from all over the map/ time eras. I was NEVER a focused collector.
