    been collecting Lincolnania for many years. I was even able to contribute a number of pics of my collection to Paul Cunningham for his book “Lincoln’s Metallic Imagery”

    Paul is a great guy. I used to enjoy seeing him at the Fun Show each January. He sold me several nice pieces over the years.
    I didn't buy this one from Paul but it's the same one imaged in his book.

    This is the only 1864 Lincoln campaign piece that mentioned the "railsplitter" theme. It appeared on several pieces in 1860. These pieces were made with a gold wash, which, when it is still on the piece, fades to what you see here.

    This piece from the 1864 campaign features was issued in connection with the Union League which was founded during the Civil War. It still exists today.
