<p>[QUOTE=&quot;Kyra, post: 31150, member: 1881&quot;]Ok- finally!&nbsp; Here&#039;s the much anticipated ( <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie11" alt=":rolleyes:" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" /> ) list of the goodies I&#039;ve found while working at the bank.&nbsp; Let me just preface this list by saying that if I do find anything that&#039;s valuable and I know who brought it in I always ask the owner if they want it back.&nbsp; Most of what I&#039;ve found is junk silver, but there&#039;s been some pretty good stuff too.&nbsp; This is by no means a complete list- that&#039;d take days to type!&nbsp; Ok- here goes...</p><p><br /></p><p>Cents:&nbsp; It&#039;s not much of an exaggeration to say that I&#039;ve found thousands of wheat cents.&nbsp; I&#039;ve found as much as $18 dollars worth in one day.&nbsp; I have found pretty much a complete date-and-mintmark set of Lincolns, minus only the 1909-S, 1909-SVDB, 1914-D, 1922 Plain, and the 1931-S.&nbsp; I do have a 1891 Indian Head cent and a 1972 DDO.&nbsp; It&#039;s not one of the more spectactular ones, you need a magnifying glass to see the doubling, but it&#039;s there.&nbsp; One of my co-workers found a beat up 1898 Flying Eagle cent.&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>One dateless, nearly worn slick 2-cent piece!&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>A handful of Buffalo nickels, one with a partial date and two with actual readable dates.&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>I&#039;m only missing the 1942-D for a date-and-mintmark set of wartime Jefferson nickels.&nbsp; For some reason the D&#039;s are few and far between.&nbsp; The 1943&#039;s I have outnumber the rest of the dates 2-1, but no 3/2&#039;s...&nbsp;&nbsp; <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie3" alt=":(" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" /> </p><p><br /></p><p>Four Mercury dimes, and a nearly complete date set of silver Roosevelt dimes.&nbsp; I&#039;m only missing a 1949 and a 1955.&nbsp; I also once found a Seated Liberty dime that I returned to its owner.&nbsp; The guy said &quot;I&#039;ve been looking for that- it&#039;s my golf marker!&quot;&nbsp;&nbsp; <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie9" alt=":eek:" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" /> </p><p><br /></p><p>I have half a date set of silver Washington quarters, missing most of the early dates.&nbsp; I do have a pretty decent 1935-S.&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>Three Franklin halves, including one 1949 that someone cleaned almost to the point of oblivion.&nbsp;&nbsp; <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie4" alt=":mad:" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" />&nbsp;&nbsp; I have a complete set plus some of silver Kennedys, there are as many 64&#039;s as the rest of the dates combined.&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>One 1979-P Near Date SBA dollar, one Morgan dollar (returned to owner), and one 1922 Peace dollar (owner let me keep!).&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>Now the foreign coins- I have coins from 34 different nations.&nbsp; I&#039;ll list them if anyone&#039;s interested- here&#039;s the highlights.&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>A partial set of Irish euros- 10 euro cent, 5 cent, 2 cent, and several 1 cent.&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>Lots of UK coins, including new pence, old pence, half penny.&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>German euros, Finnish euros, Italian euros.&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>It still amazes me that I&#039;ve found coins from every continent (except Antartica of course...&nbsp;&nbsp; <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie8" alt=":D" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" /> ).&nbsp; The coins from Liberia, South Africa, and Zambia I&#039;m especially proud of.&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>Lots of cool Canadian stuff:&nbsp; two Loonies, one Twonie, several Centennial quarters and cents, several silver quarters and dimes, half of the 1999 Calendar series, half of the 2000 Millenium series, a Vol dime, a Golden Jubilee dime and cent, and a 1928 cent.&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>Also an old German game token, and what I think is an old Indianapolis bus token.&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>That&#039;s about it- hope this didn&#039;t get too long winded for everyone!&nbsp; </p><p><br /></p><p>Rachel&nbsp;&nbsp; <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie7" alt=":p" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" />[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
