[QUOTE="Vegas Vic, post: 1999361, member: 58810"]Because it just has not been my personal experience. I agree people can buy great coins at shows. But it seems to me that the slabbed pcgs and ngc coins are marked up above where the above market value is. I only like to buy nice coins with eye appeal. That is one reason I gravitate towards nicely toned coins. And when buying a nicely toned coin I expect and am ok paying an above market rate price for an average coin in that grade. When I bought and then sold coins from ebay to coin shows I never sold a single coin at grey. Always above. So again I have no problem paying for the quality. My problem is my experience at shows is that most of the slabs are priced above this "above greysheet" level.

Look I'm not the only poster who feels like this

In all fairness maybe I'm just spoiled. I can literally search 150,000 pcgs and ngc coins and compare prices in seconds. I get returns and can spend little time buying coins. Almost all the online coins can be high also but look back to my slq example I keep batting around. I could buy 4 different ms 63 certified nice looking coins for less money then the au 50 and I found the other coins in under a minute.

Maybe us youngsters gen x kids on here Just have a short attention span.
