One thing that ya'll might want to think about---
Lets say that something happened to you---would your wife/kids/etc know how to log into CoinTalk to let us know....or would they even know about CoinTalk??? I know my mom/sisters wouldn't know how to log on to my account.....

I emailed him yesterday but no one has emailed me back yet. Certainly you would think he has other family members that check the email, but then again maybe not. I refered in my email that if anything unfortunate has happened that he was a member of CoinTalk and to let us know if he was Ok.

 

I could care less about the prizes. (And no, it's not just because I didn't win anything.) I learned about nickels, and I got to know some of you much better through the spirited competitions. In the end, we just want to know that nothing bad has happened to Dak. Please keep us posted if you have any information.

 

I also sent him a message yesterday, the only one I've sent. I told him I didn't care about the prize, hoped he was ok and that it was sad to lose a someone that participated in the way that he did. The contests are just a fun way to have a little competition. Great when you can make other feel good when you send them something in the mail but nothing to lose sleep over.

Honestly, I'm not sure my wife would reply to an email if something really bad happened but then again as much as I enjoy the hobby I would hope she would given enough time.

I went out of the country last year for 5 weeks, and I only had time to check email and stuff. No cointalk during that time, lol

Well if something did happen to dak, he said that he had some coins in the envelope ready to be mailed. wouldn't ya think his family would have mailed them?

 

It can take a few hours, to weeks for a message to bounce back to the writers email address.

And it never will bounce if it got to the mailbox before it filled up, but the addressee never opens it. (Or does open it, without responding!)
