Now, Instead of hiding the bonus this round, I'm posting it here right now...

    Bonus Question :

Coin # 2 appears to display a nice golden tone.

    Was this:

A.) Due to the lighting used.
    B.) Natural Toning.
    C.) Artificial Toning.

You may post your answer or pm it to me! Anyone who gets it right, 10 Bonus points to ya, it will be revealed at the same time as the "whizzed coin".

OMG, roto... shame on you! I think that we shoud, as stewards of coinage, never degrade them by polishing or cleaning them. That is, just MHO however

    The answer:

    #2 Was Whizzed!

    Bonus Question?

Coin # 2 appears to display a nice golden tone.

    Was this:

A.) Due to the lighting used.
    B.) Natural Toning.
    C.) Artificial Toning.
    D.) None of the Above.

This #2 coin took a ride on my dremel with some jewely polishing compound, then it was nicely toned in artificial enviroment for about 15 minutes to get a nice golden tone and assist with the cover up... Abra Cadabra now poof... we have an instant internet proof... Total time to prepare? Approx 30 minutes is all it took from start to finish...

Just incase you don't believe the bonus answer here is coin # 1 and coin # 2 side by side and these pictures should come up a bit bigger...

    Coin # 1 was a true proof.

    Coin # 2 was a BU/Unc 1964 polished and toned.

Coin # 3 was a 1967 Proof found in circulation.

    Coin # 4 was a 1964 BU/Unc unmodified.
