Hmm.. might work..IF I had bought it on ebay and IF I had bought it recently and IF my user name is dak on ebay! (the answer to all those IF's is no :) ) I chose this coin out of my collection because it is surprisingly deceptive in hand as well and a hard one to grade but I think it was graded correctly.. As to my ebay profile, the only things you will find on my ebay profile lately are a couple buffalo nickels with the 2 feather variety that I cherrypicked from a couple dealers who never attributed the variety!!! :)

Dak..I was reading on PCGS that Buffalo (bison) nickels are the hardest to grade because of the weak strikes...and alot end up graded wrong. So how do we know yours is graded correctly?

    LMAO

Well I am going to extend the guessing one more day, remember you may edit your grade, if you like or you may leave well enough alone and hope you are one of the lucky few who are within 1 grade point.... Reason being... There has not yet been a correct guess! I am totaly suprised, but I have gone through it twice and there has not been a single correct answer!!

Well to borrow a favorite ebay term.. yea, grading is subjective... however, in my opinion , this coin is very text book for the grade. In hand it is a lot easier, and I am sorry I can't make it any easier, pictures just never show a coin complety no matter how hard I try.

By one grade point, you mean something like MS65 to MS66, not AU55 to AU58, correct?

Have you ever seen a PCGS grade of AU56? :) I think that would be a rare slab indeed! Lets just clear the air here and say... It is an MS coin!

Speaking for myself and probably several others (since no one got it right), I would appreciate an explanation of how and why you grade it to what ever the grade is. Obviously after the contest is over.

Aha, thanks. :D Now I'm just guessing what PCGS says it is instead of what I think it is, lol. Sure looked like wear marks on the buffalo and on the braid.
