The Gettysburg Coin Show

What most of you don't know.....is the 3 people on this medal are actually Alan,Mike Dixon , and Bill Knuckles . The first show they decided to have a old time photo dressed as civil war generals . The photo was also used on a Bill Board on one of the major roads leading into Gettysburg .

A side note looks like Mike has put a few pounds on in the medal....shown......maybe I should cut back the Chocolate cookies next show!

 

I've been wanting to take a business trip back east, I'd love to set up at one of the big show's. I'm sure there are usually a few tables with photographers though.

Usually the only photographer onsite at a show is if Todd is there; he dominates the field so completely that few others bother. I think @messydesk does shows occasionally, as well.

 

Heck......I was only talkin' about a panorama.......a display of the the show. Heck, I ain't settin' up to take pictures of coins. Too much work.......just wanna have fun.

 

I figured Todd was usually at those show's. I don't think I would attempt to compete with him without doing regional show's first. As you said, he's pretty much the guy at the big national show's. Maybe someday.

 

Great show...I plan to go so @Paddy54 can teach me more stuff!

There are no photographers set up at the Gettysburg show. The only thing close is some guy selling Dino-Lite microscopes

 

Thanks for the heads up! I will have to see how this next year pans out, I'd love to try and make it to some of these show's and eventually setup at a couple.

 

The guy who's selling the scopes does he eat a lot of cheeseburgers ?

 

All the better reason to like him.

Frank Long Beach is on the left coast.....Gettysburg is closer to the right coast.......remember maps are our friends!
