The Future Of Coin Collecting....from a Newbie

(I did not realize the US mint sold coins to us mere mortals, I thought they only sold them to coin shops). Because why do they pay more on Ebay for something they can buy at the mint for less money?? :rolling:</p><p>OK, I am rambling, Should I go into what I did buy ? or just get to the point of the coin hobby in 2010? OK, I will get into what I did buy later.</p><p>Now, I am a researcher by trade, so no one needed to tell me to buy the book first. I bought books and books. And read forums and forums....</p><p>This was all in the last year. Do I know alot? Yes, do I know everything?, not even close.:eating: </p><p>Let's get to my Idea of the future of coin collecting....shall we? I told you I was winded...LOL.!!</p><p>OK, so, I go to my first coin show in the past year, then another, and yet Another. Now, these are basically in-state local shows....But these are the grass roots of the hobby as a whole.!! </p><p>I have read and read (as you have) about the huge shows. I almost feel as if I attended myself by the descriptions and photos.!! Thank you for those that tell us about those.!! Some of us may never attend, and we live it through your eyes, so thank you.!! :bow:</p><p>OK, First off, we collect coins as a hobby. We all have our reasons.
