They opt for &#039;recycled&#039; coinage. I imagine the handling charges from the coin depot are less expensive for recycled coins. If you&#039;ve ever done banking on the East Coast you&#039;ll understand when I say that once you find a bank that is minimally sucky in most respects you stick with it....even if you can&#039;t get fresh rolls of coins. I do have to say my local branch of BOA went out on a &#039;limb&#039; and ordered some $2 for me. I got a couple of straps of fresh &#039;95, 2003 and 2003A $2 from them. Now how do I convince the teller not to pull the bills out of the BEP strap and run them through her counter before handing them over?
