connor1, do a search for currency sleeves here on the forum, there has been alot of posts, especially the last few weeks, that talk about all the different kins available, which ones are bad, which are good, and alot of opinions on which brands are best. IMHO its the material that is most important and not which brand, but we all have our opinions :D Most anything made from a polyested material is archive safe - this means Mylar-D, Prolar ect. I would suggest to either click the link in my sig to get a post i wrote, or do a search for currency sleeves to see some of the other recent posts on the topic :)

Hey RickieB! I got my books today! I was so surprised how quickly they arrived. These are brilliant and so chocked full of material that will sure to be teaching me things for years to come. These are also a wonderful addition to my books and studies of prints and printmaking techniques. I was happy to see topics right off the bat talking about wax grounds and etching acids, brought me right back to my art school days. I just really wanted to thank you for assisting me/us in locating these copies of the two books at such a decent price, plus they come with that awesome signed vignette print like USS656 posted. Many thanks!

Ok, so i finally got my books in :D very nice collection of information.

Now here is a question for everyone - did you look up all the signed notes to see who the engravers were? If not, you might want to do so! An article i read on these books said that alot of the notes were signed by the wrong engraver, the person to find out who, wins $50. I dont know if the contest is still going on, but check your notes. I only recieved 7 of the 10 notes, so i cant verify the last 3. But check the notes from the other engravers, and make sure they have the right signature. If not... contact Gene to let him know and possibly collect $50. Dont forget, James Moore signed 3 notes :D

DJ... I checked with Gene on the notes and it was found when they first came out..long ago. The note count you got was correct...look at what I posted and compare, they were all the same...

I got mine in the post yesterday, reads like an art book to me - lots of very familiar and favourite images are present in these volumes. And of course I love the engraving:D.

Thanks RickieB for coordinating this, the volumes didn't even end up in the regular library, but in the glass case where I keep my rare usually 150+ year old books.

    Thanks for the PM RickieB!

I did recieve 7 signed notes, an advertisement note, 2 stamps and 2 engravings - all signed :) So i got all i needed :D I was searching around the house for the other 3 notes

so RickieB ... which note or engraving was the mis-signed piece? Has to be one of the stamps or engravins as i looked up all the notes... or did i miss something? Such a mystery :D

i looked up all the notes and engravings engravers, and tried my darndest to match the signatures. Let me tell you.. with all the world note collecting i do - i really stink at reading those pesky sigs :D Notes with sigs like James Moore, Yves Baril and Joseph Keen were quite easy to read. Get into the stamps or engravings by Martin Srb, Martin Morck or Bohumil Sneider... how can they even read the scribble on the paper lol so i can guess with any amount of certainty, that i have no idea which item is mis-engraved :D
