I use them on all my better coins , never had one change on me in 5 years whether copper or silver . I'd call your coin an EF coin but cleaned some time ago as most of these have been .

Can anyone tell me if the 0 in 50c is from a grease filled die?

You mean the softness? No it normal for these. Also look at the banner on the reverse, there is always softness there. Not the best design actually, a fully struck coin is actually worth a premium.

That's a very nice coin, Detecto.

I'd think it stands a good chance at grading XF 45, 40 worst case, at a TPG. I don't see it going in an AU slab, but then again, I'm not a bust half collector, so take it FWIW.

The hit on the shield and the softness in 50 are nothing to concern yourself about, IMO. Coining in the 1830s is nothing at all like it was even ten years later -- remember this was before the steam press.

Do you think it will come back Improp. Cleaned if I submit it to NGC?

    I agree. It'll be bodybagged.

Nope. I think it will grade.

However, I do not think getting this this coin graded it is worth the investment.

Regardless, there's some educational value in submitting it.

    Do what you want. :)
