Well, I am in my final year of dental school, so we only have a couple classes and there really aren't any "papers" these days. It's mostly all clinical based stuff...and unfortunately many of our instructors just give everyone "Bs" in clinic because they don't want to take the time to actually grade our treatment. So, I really have no papers to show...but I will post my last term's grades. I don't know if that qualifies me for this contest or not...if it does not that's OK.

I actually wanted to say something about this contest. I think it is a really nice idea that the OP is encouraging everyone to work hard in school. I think I am in somewhat of a unique position on this topic because of my current position in my last year of graduate school. I was one of those people who did quite well in both high school and college...partially because I was a naturally gifted student but also because I worked very hard. I went to college with a goal in mind and I looked at college as a job. I did have some fun and I enjoyed my college experience, but above all I busted my butt and got excellent grades. As a result, I was accepted into my top choice for dental school (they took 75 students from over 1000 applicants). Then the real work began...and I can tell you that dental school has been the greatest challenge of my life. But, in June I will graduate with the title "Doctor" and be able to begin practicing. I can tell you the road has been very long and hard...and not always fun. But, it has been well worth it. I wouldn't go back and do anything different. It has set me up for a very nice life and a good career and that was what I wanted. So, I really encourage everyone to do your very best because in the long run it pays off and it is completely worth it. I promise.

So, here are my Fall grades:

CDEN702 Ethics in Dentistry: 3.0 (B)

CDEN742 Dental Practice Operations: 3.5 (B+)

DEN756 Comp Care III: 3.0 (B)

ENDO740 Endodontic Clinic: 2.0 (C) - Unfortunately, this is the grade you get if you do not treat a Root Canal that term (and I didn't have a patient that needed one) - not the most fair system.

ENDO743 Endodontic Principles: 4.0 (A)

OS733 Advanced Oral Surgery: 3.5 (B+)

PEDO741 Pediatric Dentistry Clinic III: 3.0 (B)

PER741 Periodontology Clinic III: 3.5 (B+)

REST742 Restorative Dentistry Clinic III: 3.0 (B)
