Here are mine. The 100% one was a paper I wrote for my political science class. In general, I would say it was one of my better pieces. As for what I learned on it, I discovered that items from my high school are very useful. Most of the paper was recycled from back then. The 140/140 paper was from my world civilization class, we had to write about our personal lives. In that piece, I learned I am very boring. *edit, also posting my current english grade, as it appears we can do that.
The first is for a Chemistry test on determining amounts of substances left over from reactions. (1/5/12) The second is for a Chemistry test on thermochem. (1/16/12) The third is an English test on the Great Gatsby. (1/13/12) Great contest idea, I work hard to keep up a 4.0! Thanks for the contest JCB1983!
Organic Chemistry Here are my three lovely pictures. Sure they may not, okay they definitely are not,my best grades ever, but they are my most proud!! I just got 2 of these back tonight in lab and the other one I got back in my morning lecture. These are papers I had graded for my Organic Chemistry 232 and 233 lab/lecture classes. It is by far the scariest class there is....well next to biochemistry. I painted out my name and my professors name, although I don't think he would mind. So what did I learn? I learned how to not only use a mass spectroscopy, but also how to anticipate how given molecules should break upon when put into it. I also learned how and when to use peroxides, and finally we put everything together in a lab where we identified several unknown components using simple techniques( smell this look, at that, etc.) to more advanced items (IR spectroscopy, H1-NMR Spectroscopy, Gas chromatography, mass spectroscopy, etc.) I am very excited that my hard-work could pay off now, I know its a long shot, but still it would be nice. I think lately I've been losing sight at the big picture. Sure I only have 2 more semester until I graduate but then I have so much more schooling ahead of me: 4 years medical school, 6-8 residency, and 3-4 of fellowship. That is 20 more years!!!! I don't even know how I'm going to pay for it! Ughh sorry it can be just a tab bit overwhelming at times and I guess I needed to vent. Wow sorry everyone! Anyways I better post my pictures before my head explodes from thinking to much about my future. -JB
I'm basically going to type up numerical identifyers for each post #. For instance Ricky would be #44. Depending on how many submissions you made, you can get up to 3 of your # (+1 for first response) to go into the hat. Drawing will be held tommorrow when I get back from work. Will try to throw it up on youtube as well. If you posted a report card, you'll basically get however many entries (up to 3) from A's and B's. ~Jason
I don't know if this counts, since these are my current grades. I'm in ninth grade. Thanks for the contest!
Sorry all, had a very busy day. I'm tallying the names right now, and drawing will be done as soon as my wife gets home. ~Jason
Congratulations to cookiemonster12! #18 was drawn (your post #). Please PM me with your adress and this Franklin will be in the mail. next contest will be held within a couple of days and involve bullion speculation.
