Hello Friends, I hope you all are doing great. Happy Memorial Day to you all. I wanted to share a find over the weekend. As looking through grandpa's coins this popped up like magic. It's a 1975 nmm dime. It shows wear of coarse but the background is mirrior like and I need your opinions on this. If it turns into something really good we can have a great coin party. It sure does shine. Thank you all so much. Toddy

Nothing really happens here without pics.

Sounds like a normal Philadelphia minted dime, but without pictures it is just a guess.

OK, pics are good enough. It is a normal Philadelphia dime that looks like it has been polished.

Heavily polished/whizzed. Damaged, in other words.

The valuable 1970 dime without a mintmark would be the one from the proof set. Minted in San Francisco and so should have an S mint mark. But explaining what a proof coin is, how they are manufactured and why a No Mint mark coin is rare is too hard to do vs. "you might have a 1970nmm coin worth thousands" in a breathless voice with bad video and unlicensed audio.

You definitely have a no MM dime, but the one you show was struck in Philadelphia not San Fran.
