Alrighty. Hope I didn't offend you, @ddddd I have plenty of coins that only I like. 1844/81 Large Cent. I bought this raw, and then had it graded by ANACS. (I've been trying different lighting methods, and not really happy with the way the pics turned out.) How much did I pay? Grade? Straight or Details, and why.
@Beefer518 no offense taken here...we all have coins that we like and don't like...if we shared the same likes, it wouldn't be as fun!
$40 ...vf details ... damaged (I'll say Anacs combined all the hits into one damaged catch-all). ...I don't know if the variety made this more valuable or if you cherry picked it, so I'm going with a lowish value...
Yep, so do I. Interests change or I end up taking risks on coins that turned out to be not as appealing as I hoped.
I vote straight graded, VF25. The uneven color caught my eye but I’ve seen similar on higher grade copper. The hits look like normal circulation wear on soft metal. Purchased raw for $25.

I will go again. FYI... if you don't possess a DETAILS (or toned) coin, it's fine to look for a completed listing, and copy it to post here. (see below) P.S. Please be honest, and don't go looking for the listing for answers. Here we have a.... coin. Your mission, should you choose to accept it.... Sold for price- Grade- Straight, or Details/reason This post will self destruct in approx. 48 hours.
I might as well post the results. This price is from EBAY sold listing, and I recently found out that they don't show if an offer was given/accepted or not, only stated as sold for price. Sold for: $3275.90 The winner is.....
