The family and I are heading to Florida so I'm calling it on this one and the winner is... @ron_c. Buy it now price was 175.00 but I got it for 100.00. The cleaning wasn't as bad as I thought but it has a nice strike on the reverse. Thanks the guesses everyone. Next person take it away! Sent from my SM-G955U using Tapatalk
I normally stay away from details coins but that was a very good price for that coin. I think VG-F coins are selling in that range.
Ok I will go next with this: Unc details-cleaned Russia 1924 Rouble Melt is about $10 and Krause has MS 60 at $150 I would say MS 60-63 are closer to $90-$120 in terms of auction results.
World coins are so much harder, that is a good example where the details grade should likely be ignored. 100
Yes that is very true. I have seen some details graded world coins where it looks like the TPG could have easily given a straight grade and other straight graded examples with distracting issues. I just wanted to change up the US theme and throw out a different challenge.
Honestly with how that coin looks, if it has been cleaned and looks like that I just don't care that it's been cleaned.
95. Great eye appeal. I'm basing this on world coins in general having less of a toning premium and also less of a discount for cleaning.
You're on a roll! This cost $51 and I was happy to win it for that much. I think the details grade may have scared some people off, but it is a really nice coin. The cleaning is barely noticeable and I think the details rival most 63-64 examples. This is the type of details coins that I like to find.
