The Details Discount Thread

I'm calling it...
I want to preface this with the fact that this was graded by the most trusted company in the world. (PCGS)...(arguably)

This coin was deemed to be acceptable for straight grade.



It appears Kurt wins this one with price.
( $1999.99 ) - sale price.
I will say that the full slab pic, doesn't seem to show the scratches as well, but it was the same posted auction coin.

I'll punt to the second place guy because I don't have a photo ready and it'll be a lonnnnng day. But I do have a good'n in mind for later.

By the way, proofs are graded on a completely different scale.

 

Yes they are. Not easy to grade these older proofs, especially from sub-par pics.
Even with your extensive knowledge/experience, you were off by 11points, and detailed an acceptable/straight coin, as did I and the majority.
