Well, might as well call it. It isn't graded, but it would definitely details grade, as it is harshly cleaned. I would not have bought this if I was paying attention. I thought it was an 1875 (P), not a San Francisco. I'm just glad and lucky the under bidder dropped when he did! I paid $236 including fees. I thought I had stolen it, until I went back and saw the S MM. And the winner is: @ddddd you're up!

This one sold in August 2015...I did not bid (is that a hint? )...price? details or not? reason? grade?
After much thought, here's what I think: $650 MS62 Straight grade I think the toning is natural, and there may have been a cleaning/dip a long, long long time ago, but it looks right to me.
I'll call it here since this is pretty much correct...final price was $662.20 I personally thought this coin looked like a below average XF, but the details must have been strong enough to warrant an UNC grade. I definitely was not a fan and would have preferred a nice AU over this one.

Well...... Dunno if anyone is still playing, but... Sent this in to ANACS, and the results just came back. 2 different images for different types of lighting. Price paid Grade Straight or details, and why?
Anacs? I think there is wear above the ear and on the breast on the Eagle, but I don't see an obvious cleaning...I will say straight graded, AU (55), $65
These trip me up. Is it wear, or weak strike? I'll say MS, straight grade, and $78 seems a fair price.
I paid $106 (incl BP) ANACS graded this AU-53 DETAILS - CLEANED It was more then I really wanted to pay, but I liked it, and was sure it was going to grade AU58 straight. Possibly the only saving grace is that it's a VAM-1a, which is an R6, so I may be ok if I go to sell it. @KSorbo gets the win, and the next post!
