It was on a thread here a while back. I can't remember what thread it was in, but someone mentioned that you set the oven to 400 degrees (I think) and bake it for a certain amount of time (which I cant remember). Some help I am. I will try to search for it. How do you link other threads in your message? That would help if I find it.
Cant find the thread I think I saw. I did find one post that said to put the oven at 500 degrees for 27 minutes. Slit the potato and slip the coin in. If it works let us all know.
The obvious question is - - - do you place the coin in a cold potato and bake it at 500 degrees for 27 minutes? Or do you place the coin in a 500 degree potato and then bake it at 500 degrees for 27 minutes?
I'm in a hurry. I want my coins to tone FAST! The coin should only take 13.5 minutes to tone beautifully if I set my oven at 1000 degrees. 6.75 minutes at 2000 degrees. One minute at 13,500 degrees!:mouth::mouth::whistle::mouth::mouth::whistle:
Id give anything to HAVE a daughter that I could even attempt to share my love for coins with! Keep that sucker! It just became worth so much more
Its just a coin. Gotta keep that in perspective. She on the other hand is a little girl who won't be little much longer- and you just added a great chapter to her childhood. Now she knows to include youngsters in HER pursuits when she is a woman, so the world will be a little better and everyone will get along together. That is better than a Morgan. Better than a Saint, in my opinion. (But not better than a 1793 half cent ) Mike
Dan Qyuale! :goof: The "Y" after the "Q" is what messed him up so bad. The old U" after the "Q" rule doesn't apply to him so he figures nothing else does either. Ribbit
