It took me a while to figure out what was special. The hint given helped me. i'm not a bill collector either, so I wouldn't have any idea what was special. However, thank you for showing us the bill so that we can be a little more observant when we cash a check. I do like to collect $20 that the serial numbers are in sequential order. I keep them padlocked in my Australian Shepherds dog house. I can trust her because she is still having a little trouble reading.

Congratulations to everyone involved in this discussion for knowing their/our history...that Lincoln passed on the 15th, the day (morning) after he was shot. Many think he was assassinated, to include death, all on the night of the 14th, and several gaffes have been made about this, to include on a bronze Lincoln commemorative/medal listing his death as April 14...not sure if by our mint or a private mint. It's been posted here on CT a couple of times this year on a Post your Lincolns day, Exnumonia, etc.
