This is a neat coin from Colombia, dated 1935. I call this the "Colombia V Nickel" for obvious reasons you'll see below.

Obverse features a representation of Lady Liberty, with "Libertad" on her cap.

Reverse features a Roman numeral "V"

Compare to the American V Nickel:

Post any coins that sort of look like other coins

    Neat coin.

    Were they minted in 1913?

I see that Colombia learned from our mistake and put "CENTAVOS" on the reverse.

With the extensive use of gold coins in South America in the early 20th century, I feel like it would have been a HUGE problem if they didn't do it!

Mexici 1-2-5.jpg Mexico 125.jpg Mexico made I, II and V centavo coins in 1882 and 1883. Prettier than the US 'V' nickel. All made of cupro-nickel.
