A priority envelope costs $5.50. Why would anyone with cash flow problems that are that bad want or need to participate?
If I don't receive it by tomorrow the earliest it will go out is Tuesday, as I am going to be away Sunday and Monday.
I made this point a bit more bluntly earlier in the thread and was lambasted for it... Anyway, I bid... 99-cents.
Kip, did it arrive in today's mail? Geez, we're soooo close now. Who'd have thought this would take so long?
If any of the remaining on the list are in the state of Limbo like this guy, please speak up. So it doesen't get sent there again.
I think I'm last on the list. I still want to sign it. I didn't think it would take this long to get to me though. Get it together people.
FWIW, I had a deal with Enochian to buy a coin before I left for Asia. I paid him on 21 Oct. He didn't actually get it into the mail until 6 Nov. My point is, he's slow. If he said he'll get it in the mail today, he might mean today... next week.
Now you see my point. I wasn't saying anything against lower income individuals. I was merely concerned that if this was going to be a recurring issue (which it seems to be), that it's highly inconsiderate for the other participants. If you know the bill is coming your way, set the money aside for the postage. If you're unable to do so, ask to be passed by until a date when you're able to save the $4-$8 for postage fees.
I just emailed Enochian. Not sure he'll reply, as it's his Paypal address that I have, but maybe it will shed some level of update to this.
I don't really see any logic behind that. Who would buy it? It was a fund-raising item for CT. If he tried to sell it on any other venue, no one would buy it or someone would report it as stolen. He might be broke, but I'm pretty sure he's not dumb.
I agree this would seem unlikely. I'm not privy to all the comings and goings on CT but I am not aware of any issues that would make anyone think he'd do this. Here's hoping he has gotten (or soon gets) this thing in the mail and makes this issue a thing of the past.
He just emailed me back. He said he'll try to get it out this week, but he doesn't have a car and must bike through the snow to the post office. He apologizes for having it for so long but will send it ASAP. Also, he mentioned some personal issues (non-financial, to my knowledge), which he can share on his own if he chooses.
He posted a couple weeks ago that something bad had happened. He didn't want to talk about it at the time, but would elaborate when he was more comfortable.
You could text him about the post office picking up his package...hasn't everyone seen the commercial about the post office handling all your Christmas returns...ho ho ho? Online, print label, pay, stick it and let them do the rest. Might save a bike ride... Good news anyway.
