Wow! I've never had a problem with UPS...I wonder what happened? But at least you've found the note. Good.
I just gave it to my shipping guy at work and he sent it out. He sent it ground which is likely the delay. HE'S FIRED!!!
Has the note made it to Indiana? If not and when it does someone PM me, I would like to sign it myself. Heck, I might even circulate my own note.
Van, just add your name to the list, as the note is tracing in the order of the sign-up. Back and Fore she goes!
I'm gonna post my short snorter shortly. This is such a great idea! Look for the thread "Short Snorter #2". First response PM address. Thanks everybody for the idea!
This is now closed for signatures. The time frame has gotten out of hand. I hope the rest involved will do their best to keep this note/project moving as fast a possible. Keep in mind that this note will eventually be auctioned off to benefit Coin Talk & some lucky person in this community will be the owner of this cool piece of Notaphilic history & probably the 1st internet community project of it's kind.
Still not in my hands yet, but I'm glad to know that it should be here today. Contacted the next person in line last week so will hopefully get it out the same day it's received. After a couple pictures of course
Ooops.... Hope nobody was too attached to this thing cause I spent it.... Kidding! She arrived today and is looking great, so great that I had to snap a few pictures/scans. The note is wrapped and ready to go to Washington tomorrow, but in the meantime, I'm sure everyone would like to see it again so:
FINALLY! Sorry that it took so long to get to you. The truth is that my hands won't let me part with anything numismatic, but my theropist talked me into it. I miss that note already.
WOW! I just got the CT Short Snorter in the mail, nicely packaged. I'll figure out who's next on the list and try to mail it again tomorrow the 1st if possible, but certainly NLT Monday June 3rd. I'm gonna assume the miles are by road, since a Highway map is included...?
Outstanding, I'm really glad the note made it to WA (& out of my custody) safely! It's like playing hot potato, you lose it, you go without dinner. The buck stops here (er, stopped here anyway), my calculator says 44,643 miles... AND if we each paid $3 postage, our "donation" to the USPS would stand around $72 so far.
Just PM'd ya. I'm on vacation this week but I'll be home on Saturday. I had a feeling it would be this week that my name would come up.
