Sure , but as long as they bid on the note when it is finally auctioned off if they are not part of the initial list. If they'd love the idea then hopefully they, like me will want to support the site by wanting to own this piece of "Modern Numismatic/ Notaphilic History" ...... echo , echo, echo ..... Seriously it's cool , I don't know when it will end & when it will be sold ,but when it happens it's gonna be sweet. What's a few more days when it would take that long getting to a few members anyway.
Sounds like a great idea to me. Hope people are writing small! Sent from my Motorola Electrify using Tapatalk 2
I received the note from Mrs. Karen today. I told Charmy "The Penny Lady" about it, and I'll get her to sign it at the ANA show in the morning and add some photos. I will send it out to Travlntiques on Monday.
Can't wait, talk about a well traveled note! To think of all the places it's been just through Cointalk is incredible, not to mention the 90 years before us!
By my count, note should have 26 members attached to it, and February has passed. What is the status, and who will return it to Bedford?
I believe the status is that the note is in New Orleans being signed by a few members . Then it is on it's way to another member . Yes,February has passed . I figure since there was so much interest & my initial time frame of having it end in February was a little presumptive given the time it takes to get from one person to another that it would run till there is no more interest from members or if it gets too filled with signatures / "writing" then it can come back my way for final photos & then the auction. Till then let her run ,the more the merrier . Hopefully the abundance of people "writing" on it will make it more valuable to the end buyer.
Well, when it reaches me, I'll sign it in Japanese, Chinese, Thai and possibly Korean (if I can learn it by then).
I enlarged the pics I took before sending it to LA. I showed my signature (signed and then put cointalk name) in red in the first pic.
So far the note has traveled 42,043 miles so far. My car decided to die today and I wasn't able to get to the show
I just tracked the bill and it looks like it should arrive on Tuesday. I had no idea that UPS would take nearly ten days or I would have used another method. Sorry for the delay.
