Okay, I gotta ask. Sorry. How'd that Republic of Mexico get there? Post #7982? We had either Philippines or 1944. Did I miss something? In a poor attempt to follow up coin_nut's sweet rupee, I will post this 1945 (year 12) Manchurian (or Manchoukuo) fen. It's pretty interesting but poorly struck. I would have to guess if struck any better it would be destroyed. It's supposedly made of magnesite fiber, but I don't fully understand. Numista (see https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces22469.html) states "magnesite fiber," but if you google magnesite, you get this explanation: "Magnesite, the mineral magnesium carbonate (MgCO3), a member of the calcite group of carbonate minerals that is a principal source of magnesium." So I'm failing to grasp the "fiber" aspect.
