Don't know if I showed this one or not. Easy to lose track on this thread.

I've never known anyone with so many coins from Albania! You must be an Albanian stork. I think I may have one somewhere.

Albania (Zog specifically) has become an obsession, for absolutely no reason in particular. I blame it on a failed One From Every Country attempt---Albania starts with 'A' and was the first of many countries where it became abundantly clear that just one coin wouldn't do. Maybe if I restricted myself to crowns or something, but too late. Someday I need to go visit. It's supposed to be quite lovely!

Not from my experience. I sailed by it at night on a ship from Greece to Italy about 40 years ago. There was an amazingly stark division between the lights of Greece and the non-lights of Albania. Then about 20 years ago I was in Macedonia and went up to the border with Albania. It was not a welcoming experience.

Albania was late in my "one coin from all countries" goal based on Yeoman's Catalog Of Modern World Coins (1972) that started my collecting madness.

Here's another 1930, the half. I found this one in a European auction and took a chance buying it raw with terrible pictures.

I have a UK Half Crown 1939 that I took a reverse pic at a ridiculous angle for some reason. 20161203_125852-1.jpg 20161203_125903-1.jpg
