I invented the game, but folks can occasionally do little wildcard tweaks like I just did with the CWT. Ain't like there's an international rules commission or anything. ;)

No seven-figure salaries for players, either, alas.

Besides, the game resets itself periodically and keeps on going.

But yes, Stork has a point. Simple is better.

    Great new additions.

On the subject of repeats. To avoid this in this game, I made a new folder on my comp just for this thread. Whenever I photograph new coins, The better looking ones go into a folder called "Unplayed Uno Coins" After I play them I move them to their permanent locations in my photo catalogue. This has worked out great so far.

Now that is totally cool, and I am flattered.

Always thought of The Civil War with this one..

    United States, 1863

(Edit: shucks, I could have snuck in one of my Euzkadi "Viscayan Republic" Spanish Civil War coins under that wild card option)

I'll go ahead and confess that most of what I post is "bygones" I once owned, but sold.

With my present "core" collection being only 20 coins (and my sideline collection - the avatar hat - being equally tiny), and my collection having pretty high turnover, I end up with lots of "bygones" to reminisce over.

(I do also have over 300 pieces in my detector "keepers" binder that I fall back on, but most of those are not yet imaged.)

US--1883 Liberty nickel proof, short-lived "no cents" reverse. Next: Any 1883 or any US.

I made a special category at collectivecoin and tag all the photos used here with Uno.

Rats, my Civil War coin to post is from the Spanish Civil War and is undated (even though I know it's 1936). Will need to keep looking...

I think we should allow it, sorta like a 'civil war' free play.

    I second that.

    Play it!

    We can reset.

I would like a new version of this game, where the jump from one coin to the next is based on some/any common theme or story. The poster would have to write a few sentence description of that story. I think we'd get some really interesting connections to read about. Preferably not "this coin is also round", but more of a historical or other significant connection.

Okay, Puebla de Cazalla. ND but is 1936. Somehow in my truly random collecting process I have most of the 25 c. Spanish Civil war issues. Need Marchena and Menorca.

I like this one because the upward arrow motif gets used on the subsequent 50 cent design starting in 1949.

So, if I get to direct... Spain, Civil War, 1936 are all live. Or whatever :D. I have to say the original 'One From Every Country' collection started (and abandoned) is making itself useful on this thread!
    ______________

the 'Ano de la Victoria' would have made me guess 1939 going by google-fu, but Krause and NGC give this one the issue date of 1936. Perhaps we should make 1939 a viable option too..as that was when it all ended, even though the Civil War coins were made in 36 and 37 when it was all going on.
