Amazing! I have six coins in total dated 1855. And all are from France. And I don't have a picture of any of them! :(

EDIT: It wasn't until the next post was made that I realized it was 1857, not 1855 Tricky!

How did we jump from Brazil 1865 to Greece 2000? I think we need to return to Brazil 1865.

Perhaps there should be an additional rule that for denominations between 1500 and 2017, the next date can be the same as the denomination?

Not 2017. That would mean changing the rules next year. 1500-2500 would be a better idea. Seems reasonable to me.

Well, if people already don't follow....
    • Simply look at the most recent coin posted.
    • To post one of your coins next, you must either post a coin from the same country OR with the same date.
    • As much as I love ancient & medieval coins, for everyone's sanity, let's stick to dated coins from after 1500. Please, no undated pieces, regardless of when they were made.
    • Also, since this is the World Coin edition and we're likely to get a number of different languages on the coins, be sure you tell what country your coin is from so the following person will know what to play from.
...not sure if adding more rules would be a solution :)
