That is a nice one, not so worn much like most of them are. Is the denomination 1 birr or 12 birr? Here is a GB penny 1897

 

Actually it should be 1/2 Birr. I copied the name from another source when I created the image and since the "/" is not valid for the format, it got dropped. Purchased from a dealer in Vancouver, Canada.

 

I'll throw my hat in the ring with a 1941 Farthing..

 

Best looking Ethiopian coin of that type I have ever seen. When I make file names for my coin pix, I change 1/2 to 1-2 and it works OK. That dealer not in Victoria, A? Maybe I should post a coin too...something GB.......1-2 crown 1941
