Okay! I'm a little unsure where we are but I'm going to go with India. And to make it blatantly clear, modern India with no British or other European overlords. Yea, gods! I hope I'm not messing anything up.

    2003 - two-rupees - just plain old Republic of India (KM 121).

    Well, let's see . . . India or 2010? Let's do 2010 with this 10-shillings coin from Kenya.

Good old Jomo. I saw him in Mombasa one day, riding in his big black Benz. We all cheered and he waved with one finger, the index finger it was.

I don't have any Kenyan coins, despite having briefly been there when I was a wee lad.

2010 coins? Hmm... I'll have to check.

    Edit: nope.

Shucks, I have a ton of them. British East Africa works too, I assume. Here is a 1959 H East Africa 1 cent

I used to have some Brit East Africa, but have no pix of them- they're long gone.

1959, however, I can play off of, with something a little "different".

Universal League of Esperantists: copper-nickel 10-steloj coin, 1959 (u); struck in 1960 at the Royal Dutch Mint in Utrecht
    [IMG]
PCGS MS66; population 1 with none 1 higher as of 12/10/2020.

This is the condition census ("top-pop") example: the sole MS66 certified. There are four others in MS65 as of this post.

Now, since Esperanto is not a country, per se, but rather a movement seeking the establishment of a universal auxiliary language, these steloj are considered more fantasy issues than coins.

That makes it a little bit of a wild card in the game.

So- the next player may play Esperanto, 1959, a dated fantasy issue, or, if all else fails, something else with the caduceus privy mark of Utrecht.

I didn't know about that one. The original in gold is way beyond my reach. Nice.
