    1996 250 francs and 2010 500 francs. Coins wear quickly out there in the Sahara desert. 1996 WAS 250 CFCA obv.JPG 1996 WAS 250 CFCA rev.JPG 2010 WAS 500 CFCA obv.JPG 2010 WAS 500 CFCA rev.JPG

Okay, y'all! I'm clean out of West African States. However, I have this here coin from Mauritania. It's a 2010 50-ouguiya (KM 9). On a google search for West African States, one of the results gave me the impression Mauritania was once a member of the West African States' monetary union. Good? Bad? Ugly?

I like that one with the map of Africa.

I too am out of West African States coins. No Mauritania, either. I thought I had something from 2010, but it seems I don't- not with a picture, anyway. So I'm stalled until somebody else plays.

Random observation: I like bimetallic coins.

I believe the world would end without a Krugerrand during our visit to South Africa. Therefore, I present to you (and save the world - at least temporily) a 2019 silver Krugerrand.

Playing off 1893, I take us to the U.S.A. with this 50-cent piece (KM 117).
