1961 Half Penny

 

Beautiful coin, minted in Torino, the small eagle-head on the reverse is the mint mark for Torino. Even though they say Sardinia (Sardegna), I don't think they ever minted any gold coins there. Torino and Genova is where they minted silver and gold coins. Coins minted in Genova would have a small anchor mint mark on the reverse.
