Presumably from the Randall Hoard, which contained many high-grade examples from 1818 and 1820.

Okay, enough of the (really neat, cool and droolworthy) US coins.

You guys have inspired me by your pictures. I have decided to make a project of rephotographing all my coin to a higher standard. My estimate, based on my time available each week, is that it will take about four years! For that reason I am going to use a scanner for the lower valued coins because I can scan 10 at a time. I will only use a camera for those with a higher value but those will be much slower because I will have to retrieve a few at a time from the storage box.

If this thread is still going in four year look forward to me matching all your posts!

Rephotograhping a collection is a continuous process -- it never ends. By the time you're halfway through the 1st rephotographing, your techniques (mainly lighting) should have improved, and the earlier pics will need to be reshot with the latest techniques.

How about some Italian gold? (Yes, I know Panzerman outdoes us all in gold, but it is still worth putting up :) )
