I think this works, no? City of Utrecht, 1785; one duit (KM 91).

    Herr Muzcyk, I believe you may have a contemporary forgery there! Here are 1785 and 1786 Utrecht for comparison. I have many dozens of these type coins, and yours certainly is different. 1785 U 2 s obv.JPG 1785 U 2 s rev.JPG 1786 U 2 s obv.JPG 1786 U 2 s rev.JPG

Thanks for the heads up. I will have to do some research. I also see that your examples have a shield on the reverse at the top and mine has a star.

Edit; So here is an interesting update. Looks like it may be an imitation struck in Birmingham between 1834 - 1836 for use as a merchant token in Singapore. See similar Zeno listing.

VERY interesting! I believe Jan Lingen is a good authority on coins such as this. Here is another Utrecht coin, 1790 VOC duit with the child mint mark. 1790 U VOC 1 d obv (3).JPG 1790 U VOC 1 d rev (3).JPG

I think I recently shared (or played) this one but my republic and VOC coins are very limited. In fact, this is the only one! Utrecht 1785, one-duit (KM 91).

EDIT - Ha! I see I did play this one about four coins back. Okay, I will have to bring us closer in time. Netherlands kingdom; an 1875 ten-gulden (KM 105).
