    I just purchased a "sealed proof like mint set" of the 1967 series. The silver coins 25, 50 & $1 are covered with white surface marks even though the set was "sealed". Hoped a acetone wash would clear it up but had no luck.

    I have the entire proof set from 67. Mine are perfect still/ no tone/ oxidation. But I always had them in my coin cabinet/ central air/ no humidity.

    I purchased this one a while back. The toning was a little more extreme than I would have liked. I have seen others for sale with the same look.

    Thats the change coin I throw into a crockpot. I once saved up 8000 of them, rolled them up, took them to my bank to pay for a AV Roman aureus:)!
