I took a scan under any oxidation and it’s a coin that just only has a shield on it

Has to be one of Clawcoins' experimental Zincon-Alka-Seltzer subjects gone mad.......or an offspring thereof. You have to wonder if there is any merchant or vending machine in the entire country who would accept Goldsayshi's coin........can we even call it a "coin"?

    lol
it could have been from years past. Who knows right ??

but i'm surprised that it being a true Mint Error was so quickly cast aside lol

hey ... wait until I put together my post about Quarters ... showing how much damage makes it lose weight (the reeded edge lost, then a simulated dryer coin) and then 4 quarters over 4 different times losing copper in a solvent and how much they weigh over 4 different periods of times ...

That’s because it was a token of my grandpa before he passed away. He was a miner and a metallurgist. It’s made of zinc. Now please don’t make fun of it:(:(

Then, it doesn’t need help. It’s not a coin anymore; it’s a memory. Keep it somewhere it won’t get further damaged, and don’t worry about “improving” it.

I never had that intention. That coin means a lot more to you than anyone can imagine. Enjoy it!
