    For a while, I was working on a 1901 British Empire type set for my daughter Victoria, so forgive me if I overshare here. I didn't complete it, but got most of the way there.

    I love how even at the end of Victoria's reign in 1901, there were a variety of portraits of her used, from Young Head to Old Head, and some resembling the portraiture of the famous "Gothic" types, too.

    These three picked up yesterday -
    Gibraltar 2 Quarts 1842/1
    Essequibo & Demerary East India Company Stiver 1813
    St Helena Halfpenny 1821
    All three are fairly scarce and were not issued for long. I hadn't seen any of them before in hand. I still have a load more from the same job lot to sort through too.

    Very nice paddy ! I'm looking to sort out my Gibraltar collection into better grades since the wedding there this summer I feel like I have a greater attachment too the place :)
