Sarawak, on the island of Borneo, was a British protectorate. The last "white Rajah,"was Charles Vyner Brooke who luckily was vacationing in Australia when the Japanese invaded the East Indies. At any rate Sarawak is now one of Malaysia's states.
Another oddity that I have is from another British protectorate, North Borneo, which is also was invaded by the Japanese and is now part of Malaysia.
Another 2 coins I'm waiting to drop through the door. Farrukhbad mint Shah Alam year 45 trisul pice And a 1909 British Guiana and West Indies 4d. Which I've been after a while but have never found at a decent price, this will fill a hole for a while until I get to this area for upgrades.
$20. The seller had a sticker on one side for $21 and on the other for $70. When I asked him how much, he looked in a book at muttered something about "Krause" and $70, looked at it, and said he'd take $20. Rob
I bought a cover for my 1970 set that I was given by a friend for 99p and it even came with the info leaflet which I'm extra pleased about ! Really happy with the set now. I didn't know it bugged me so much until it was mentioned here ! Here are all x3 of my 24 mariengroschen regency issues I still believe the most interesting is the un-stabbed one, given George's title on it XD
Just bought these.. I've wanted these for so long and I'm really happy to have secured both for very reasonable prices !
I've also just had these drop through the door. They were only cheap but I've been after the Zambia penny for a while just never got to it. An upgrade for my Zanzibar Pysa And I couldn't resist buying a date stamped £1 for this year, stamped 9/9 corresponding with QEII becoming the longest reigning monarch in British history. A good friend from NZ got a 1994 Tuvalu Dollar knowing that I collect them and sent it out to me
Thanks Angelo! Free is always my favourite price, have another approx. 50 India coins to catalog. Here's a few more gifts, these from Great Britain: 1914 Shilling 1918 Shilling & a 1931 Florin (my first)
