Did they also add something in metal content that scanner can tell if real or counterfeit. I know a year or two ago a few tons of boxed up and ready to ship were found. In cargo ship or a port in France or Italy Maybe a different country.
No, it's just the same, I don't see how anything but an overhaul of the design will fix this problem though. The mint won't be too bothered, look how long the £1 coins have been forged for !
Here's one I picked up for my Victoria type set at the Tennessee State coin show in Chattanooga over the weekend.
Victoria/ Vicky are fun all Great Britain different coinage while her era Orient coin then you have old style and young style Queen Victoria coins can be fun.

First Aussie florin Pretty much only missing the crown now. The reverse is super nice, the obverse has some beating.
I have nothing extremely good or expensive but I have a nice little "hoard" of british coppers. Here is a George IV
Picked up this Australia 50 cent coin at the Portland ANA show last weekend. It's my birth year. Appear to be uncirculated and good cartwheel luster. Most of those scratches are on the holder. Rob
Here is just some of my Great Britain "Hoard", only Queen Victoria coppers are pictured here. What's not to love at 25 cents a coin????
From the coin show yesterday and only $1.50 for silver. 1901 3 Pence - nice shape and I collect 3 Pence 1872 6 Pence
Won this the other day, another important coin for my collection. OK not the greatest condition but for its type it's not too bad. Hoping to get one more this month, coin funds still slim as with getting a new car a need new roof bars etc for when we go camping since it's coming into season now.
